LGX Logistics GmbH & Co. KG
Data Protection and Security
The protection of personal data—and thus your privacy—is taken very seriously by us. We would like to explain here how we protect your data and what it means for you when you use our services. To ensure the highest possible protection of your privacy, it is self-evident for us that we comply with all legal regulations regarding data protection.
Data Processing Controller and Data Protection Officer
The controller and service provider is LGX Logistics GmbH & Co. KG, Berliner Allee 65, 64295 Darmstadt (hereinafter referred to as LGX). You have the right to request free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, as well as the right to correction, blocking, or deletion of this data. For this purpose, and for any other questions regarding personal data, you may contact us at any time at the address provided in the imprint.
Cookies
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your hard drive by a web server. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that assigned the cookie to you. Cookies cannot execute programs or place viruses on your computer. The cookies we use contain no personal information and are not combined with such data. Two types of cookies are distinguished: session cookies, which are deleted once you end the session, and temporary or permanent cookies, which are stored on the data carrier for a longer or unlimited period of time.
To generally object to the use of cookies on your computer, you can set your Internet browser to prevent cookies from being stored in the future or to delete cookies already stored. However, disabling all cookies may result in some functions of our website no longer working properly.
What data is stored in cookies?
No personal data is stored in the cookies used by LGX. These cookies cannot be attributed to a specific person. Once a cookie is activated, it only receives an identification number. Personal data such as names, IP addresses, etc., are never linked to this identification number. Using cookie technology, we only receive anonymized information—for example, which of our website’s pages were visited.
Which cookies does LGX use?
Most of the cookies we use are session cookies, which are required to keep your visit consistent—for example, to ensure that you do not need to log in again and that your preferences or other details provided during a reservation request are retained during the session. We also use session cookies to ensure that a particular offer you clicked on is correctly linked to your request (e.g., for promotional offers). These session cookies are automatically deleted once the session ends.
Additionally, we use cookies to recognize on future visits whether you are particularly interested in certain offers, allowing us to display such offers specifically to you on the website. This assignment is based only on abstract criteria (e.g., “Training Money, Training Boss”) and is not personal. These cookies have a lifespan of one year and are then automatically deleted.
Use of Google Analytics (this text is partly provided by Google, Inc.)
This website/app uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies,” text files stored on your computer or mobile device, which enable analysis of your use of the website/app. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website/app (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will shorten your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website/app, compile reports on website activity for website operators, and provide further services related to website and internet use, including Google Analytics reports on performance by demographic characteristics and interests. With Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting, we can use data from Google’s interest-based advertising and/or third-party data (e.g., age, gender, and interests) together with Google Analytics for targeted and optimized advertising activities, strategies, and website content.
Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
You may prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website/app to their full extent. By using this website/app, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
For more information, please visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout or https://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html (general information on Google Analytics and data protection). Please note that on this website/app, Google Analytics has been extended by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). As a result, IP addresses are processed only in shortened form, preventing them from being linked directly to a person.
The use of Google Analytics complies with the requirements agreed upon between the German data protection authorities and Google. How can I prevent cookies from being stored?
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers accept cookies automatically. Usually, browser settings allow you to specify that cookies should be rejected. If cookies are rejected, some website functions may no longer be usable. If cookies are accepted, you can delete them later. If cookies are deleted, all settings controlled by these cookies—including advertising preferences—will also be deleted and may not be restorable.
